The Mander Park Landscape Concept
Simon Cocker Landscape Architecture was engaged by Whangarei District Council to undertake community consultation and prepare a landscape concept for Mander Park – which is located adjacent to the State Highway 1 corridor. The redevelopment included the design of a new suite of park furniture using timber from large trees that had been felled as a result of widening works on the State Highway works adjacent to the Park, the expansion of the existing play area, and the re-integration into the park, and revegetation of an existing stream which defined the Park’s southern boundary. (2012 – 2014).
