Landscape architecture to assist in the seeking of consents for new buildings and facilities.

Our Contribution

In 2012, Simon Cocker Landscape Architecture was commissioned by Northland District Health Board to assist in the seeking of consents for various new buildings and facilities including a new administration centre, the Jim Carney Cancer Centre, a new Maternity Unit, car parks and storm water ponds.

The design of the car parks included planted swales to capture and treat the storm water runoff before detention in the ponds and release to the environment. Our contribution also involved the preparation of landscape and urban design assessment reports for inclusion in the resource consent application and the development of detailed landscape plans to satisfy conditions of consent.  The practice also provided technical observation for the Cancer Centre, Administration building, Maternity Unit building, car park and storm water pond planting contracts.  (2012 – 2016).
